SHOWING THE SCENE WHERE CHP SAYS A CAR HIT A LOGAN COUNTY PATROL TRUCK. YOU CAN SEE BOTH CARS MANGLED HERE AND THE TRUCK FLIPPED OVER IN A DITCH. THAT DEPUTY AND THAT TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AND RELEASED. THEY’RE STILL DECIDING IF HE’LL NEED SURGERY. ACCORDING TO THE SHERIFF, CHP CONFIRMED TO US THAT THEY DID ARREST THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER CAR, BUT WE WON’T BE NAMING HIM SINCE HE HASN’T BEEN CHARGED YET. The Logan County Sheriff's Office said the deputy was taken to the hospital but was released on Sunday. The deputy suffered three fractures in his neck. Follow-up appointments will determine if surgery will be needed, according to Logan County Sheriff Damon Devereaux. The driver of the other vehicle was treated on scene before being arrested by Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was taken to the Logan County Jail on complaints of DUI causing great bodily injury, driving with a canceled, suspended or revoked license, and failure to maintain security. KOCO hasn't released the suspect's name since he hasn't been formally charged.
