Authorities say an 82-year-old man died after a crash involving a semi-trailer Monday night on the Turner Turnpike in Oklahoma County.

Shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, a 2019 Dodge Ram and a Peterbilt semi-trailer were involved in a crash in the westbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike near the Kickapoo Turnpike interchange.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials told KOCO 5 that the pickup truck spun out and crashed into the cable barriers before coming to a stop on the road. The semi-trailer then struck the pickup.
The man driving the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene. An Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report identified the victim as James A. Hall, 82, of Choctaw.
The semi-trailer driver was not hurt.
The crash caused part of the Turner Turnpike to be closed going into the overnight hours. The turnpike has since reopened.
