A pilot from Orlando, Florida, is recovering after a small plane crashed off the coast of Sawyer Key.Deputies say 40-year-old Adam Barney was rescued just after 10 a.m. Sunday. Barney was flying solo on an Aero Commander 500.He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. Officials are still working to determine what caused the crash.In a video from the Monroe County Sheriff's office, which can be viewed above, Barney thanks his rescuers and says he's not sure what happened. A pilot from Orlando, Florida, is recovering after a small plane crashed off the coast of Sawyer Key.

Deputies say 40-year-old Adam Barney was rescued just after 10 a.m. Sunday. Barney was flying solo on an Aero Commander 500.
He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
