Two people died, and a child was injured after a blown-out tire caused a multi-vehicle crash Thursday evening on Interstate 240 in Oklahoma City.

Shortly after 7:15 p.m. Thursday, a 2010 Dodge Journey and a 2002 Cadillac Escalade were heading west on I-240 near May Avenue when the Dodge blew a tire. An Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report states that the driver lost control and crashed into the Cadillac, which left the road and to the right, rolled and came to a rest after hitting a pole.
One of the passengers in the Cadillac was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A 5-year-old in the Cadillac was taken to the hospital in good condition, according to the collision report.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the two victims as Ronnie Friar, 39, and Lisa Lewis, 37.
The person driving the Dodge and three passengers were not hurt, the report states.
