Cowboys make big jump in AP Top 25
OSU ranked No. 5, OU ranked No. 12

The Oklahoma State Cowboys took a big jump in The Associated Press Top 25 Poll on Sunday after their 20-point victory against TCU on Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium.
The Pokes are now the No. 5 team in the nation, according to The AP. They were ranked No. 12 last week.
The jump was the biggest of any team that came into the weekend ranked. Navy cracked the Top 25 after being No. 37 last week.
The Sooners also saw improvement in the poll. They moved up two spots to No. 12 following their win against Iowa State.
Baylor continues to be the top-ranked Big 12 team at No. 4, and TCU dropped to No. 13. No other Big 12 team is ranked or received votes.
Clemson claimed the top stop in the poll for the first time after a win against Florida State. Ohio State is not ranked No. 1 for the first time this season, dropping to No. 2 despite a two-possession victory against Minnesota.
Although the Cowboys and Sooners are rising in The AP Top 25, they are near the middle of the pack in the College Football Playoff rankings, which were released Tuesday. An updated College Football Playoff ranking will be announced Nov. 10.
