The Big 12 rewarded three Oklahoma State football players for their performances in the Cowboys' 49-29 against TCU this weekend by naming them the Big 12 Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning.Quarterback Mason Rudolph was named the Offensive Player of the Week, Chad Whitener earned Defensive Player of the Week and Zach Sinor was honored as Special Teams Player of the Week.A team sweeping the Big 12 weekly awards has happened one other time in the conference's history when Oklahoma State did so in 1997.During the Pokes' 20-point victory, Rudolph completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 352 yards and five touchdowns. The five touchdown passes were the most in a game by an OSU quarterback against a ranked opponent. Whitener was a force to be reckoned with on defense. He picked off Heisman Trophy hopeful Trevone Boykin twice and recorded a career-high 12 tackles. His second interception was returned 42 yards for a touchdown in the game's closing minute.Whitener's first interception was almost returned for a touchdown, but he was brought down at the one-yard line. The interception led to a J.W. Walsh touchdown run.The Big 12 honor is the first of Whitener's career.Sinor was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week after downing six of his nine punts against TCU inside the 20 yard line, tying an Oklahoma State single-game record for most punts down inside the 20. Three of those six punts were downed inside the 10, and two were downed inside the five.Only one of Sinor's nine punts were returned for more than two yards.Although wide receiver James Washington did not earn a Big 12 weekly award, he was added to the Biletnikoff Award List. In nine games, he has 36 receptions, 772 yards and seven touchdowns.Washington has caught for at least 100 yards in three straight games. Against TCU, he caught five passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns.
