way to go to space for several months at a time. We expect that the Earth will change. Things will change on the ground over away. But I don't think that we ever anticipate that will change quite to this degree. They weren't even allowed to go to the store and those two weeks prior to my return. Usually you can go home within a day or so, but NASA wanted to be extra cautious. Make sure that our immune systems were back to full health before they allowed us to go while I was on board. My flight from those nine months represented a lot of things that made me who I am today.
